Industry Experience: 1. At least two years of experience providing sports massage therapy services to athletes and other clients. 2. Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and kinesiology related to sports massage therapy. 3. Ability to assess the needs of clients and provide appropriate treatments for their specific conditions or injuries. 4. Familiarity with different types of sports massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point, myofascial release, etc., as well as knowledge on how to apply them effectively in a therapeutic setting. 5. Understanding of the principles behind stretching exercises and how they can be used in conjunction with massage therapy for optimal results. 6. Ability to recognize signs and symptoms that may indicate an underlying medical condition requiring referral to a physician or other healthcare provider for further evaluation or treatment if necessary Training: 1. Completion of an accredited program in Sports Massage Therapy from an approved institution (e.g., National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork). 2 Continuing education courses related to Sports Massage Therapy (e..g., advanced techniques, injury prevention/rehabilitation). Qualifications: 1 Certified by a recognized professional organization such as the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA) or National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB). Education: 1 Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred but not required
